this is a sequel to my first blog, the whole shebang, where i reviewed every girl/girl scene released by porn companies in april 2019 that i could afford to watch.
now i'm only reviewing the ones i want to watch. that exercise taught me a lot about what interests me, and i won't be wasting my time (or, if anyone reads this, yours) writing about stuff i'm not into or don't care about. i'll be writing about a lot fewer scenes, since even my go-to sites will be putting out plenty of stuff i'll skip; but i'll also be writing a lot more about each scene, since the ones i'm cherrypicking can bear some degree of analysis and i have the time to go a bit more in depth.
this remains a purely personal exercise, a method of tracking the kinds of porn and porn production i'm most invested in. if anyone else wants to follow along great, but i am not a consumer guide, just one person with idiosyncratic tastes.

every review ends with a scorecard. there are theoretically 100 points available, but i'm so nitpicky that that will basically never happen. there are a maximum of 30 points available for performance (including both sex and nonsex performances), 25 for cinematography (including lighting, set design and makeup; anything visual), 20 for editing (including all post-production), 15 for script (including all verbal communication), and 10 for deviation from the young, thin, cis, eurocentric, heteronormative ideal which is still standard in girl/girl porn. this is an intentionally baroque and ridiculous scoring system, and since now i'm only reviewing scenes i expect to like, it's mostly beside the point. everything should score high.
