i've been saying for a while that i really want a girl/girl vixen sub-brand, but this scene may have cured me of it.

that's not entirely fair, of course. i admire and respect alina lopez and emily willis as performers and personalities, and kenzie anne, though new to me (and apparently to the industry, given the premise of the scene), was promising, if not on the veterans' level. but the vacuous sub-terry richardson photography (courtesy of the new "eats" glamour brand, which is apparently an aspiring competitor to playboy), the reliance on ridiculous porn positions, and the overcommitted, repetitive moaning all rang hollow.

which might be hypocritical of me, as i've gone on the record as being pro-stylization and pro-lavish budgets, and this scene had both in spades. but on some level i need to believe that the performers are into it. don't get me wrong, i believed the performers were enjoying themselves just fine, but i never believed they were enjoying themselves in precisely the way that their vocalizations were trying to sell me on. part of it is just the fatal lack of intimacy of threesomes; the emily-kenzie portion was solid and would have been great if only kenzie were more practiced at making her moans sound authentic. but part of it was also the awkward set, as the three of them on a couch only allowed for a handful of extremely clichéd and alienating positions. (any position that doesn't allow the participants to maintain eye contact feels alienating to me. maybe this is my own narrow conception of intimacy talking; but i'd rather buy into the illusion of connection between strangers than have the most perfect bodies jiggle on display for me.)

but my score below is not a bad one, and i did end up enjoying the scene for what it was, though i felt it dragged on a few positions too long. emily and alina, who carried the bulk of the dialogue up top, are smart and natural performers, and kenzie could hardly have had better tutors to show her the ropes. the lens-flare affects drawing attention to edit points could easily have been dispensed with, but i don't mind a visual signature. ultimately i'm still going to pine after the vixen girl/girl brand that lives in my head, with the full diversity of performance and excellence in production that my imagination has to offer. and i'll keep signing up for a month whenever they drop something new in girl/girl, because i live in hope.
