so i expected good things from this: alexis and stacy can bring heat, and sinfulxxx's stylish mood lighting under the direction of roma amor has long been attractive to me, even though i've only previouly noticed the site in honorable mentions in my year-end posts. some of the site's early girl/girl work is astonishingly lovely, with deep-focus angles that stand cheek by jowl with any of the most creative photographers in porn.
unfortunately, this one was extremely rote. the setup is mercifully brief: stacy cruz is a failing student begging professor kai taylor for a passing grade in bad english and worse acting. he picks up on her hints and gives her his address. she is met by maid alexis crystal, who prepares her for taylor's attentions by stripping her, dressing her in new lingerie, and teasing her in front of him, and then he leaves to prepare, upon which alexis has langurous, vaguely dominant sex with stacy.
every sinfulxxx video is a three-parter; the second two parts are kai with each of the girls, but they don't count for my purposes. if i were a more precious kind of girl/girl consumer, i would balk at the premise of two women having sex as a mere prelude to the attentions of a man, but i'm more tolerant in my old age; if the sex is beautifully shot and performed, the reason for having sex doesn't matter much, so long as there is one.
unfotunately it's only somewhat beautifully shot and performed. ten minutes into sexual activity, i started to worry that i had accidentally downloaded a softcore version of the scene, because all genital contact was being obscured. eventually the camera shifted and we got some close-ups, but the softcore feeling remained throughout, even as the action got supposedly more hardcore.
alexis has an occasionally good line as she supposedly instructs the naive stacy in the art of lovemaking, but stacy's utter blankness throughout makes them fall flat. the sex is repetitive and extremely performative, with no particular chemistry, and sinfulxxx's signature editing style, in which every change of shot is preceded by a slow-blink transition, grew infuriating. by the middle of the scene i was internally begging amor to pick up the pace; but it remains languorous and soporific throughout.
