as the porn juggernauts of just a few years ago scale down their outlay to fit an industry that has had to reconfigure itself into being just the tip of the iceberg (the massive, unsurmisable body of which now resides on walled-garden creator content platforms), the rapid proliferation of niche weirdo sites, which give performers a chance to put themselves in front of dedicated fetishists who will happily spend money even when the vanilla porn audience won't, has only increased.

the romero family of sites, beginning with the flagship hentaied (dedicated to "live-action" tentacle porn; which in porn terms works out to solo girl plus a lot of props), exploded onto the scene in early 2022. a futanari companion site followed close behind (i refuse to countenance the futa fetish because it's so inherently transphobic), but the (primarily) girl/girl site, parasited, was what really made me pay attention.

every parasited video is roughly the same: two girls are hanging out, doing something normal. one of them steps away briefly and gets infected by an alien parasite, which mostly seems to travel through plumbing or other infrastructure. (the shots of the squirming black slug-like parasite are well done enough to creep me the fuck out.) this naturally turns the woman into a sexual maniac, dripping slimy secretions from her mouth and vagina, and she attacks the other woman, who resists in horror until she too has been infected, and then they have insane, slobbery, over-the-top sex.

like i said, it's a niche weirdo site. but unusually for niche weirdo sites, it gets big names, at least insofar as any european performer could be said to be a big name. (but i'm writing this in 2023, when it has expanded its operations stateside, with ricky greenwood on board for l.a. shoots.) jia lissa, for example, did no other studio girl/girl in 2022, since she's popular enough to coast on income from her own platforms. but of course that budget, and the according slick, professional feel of the filmmaking, is necessary to get the viewer to buy into the fantasy: nothing could look faker if corners started to be cut.

and from my specific perspective, it neatly sidesteps one of the eternal problems with girl/girl porn, which is the difficulty of maintaining the illusion of real intimacy and sexual chemistry. girl/girl audiences revolt at the slightest hint that the passion on screen is inauthentic, but the premise of parasited is so over the top that authenticity is simply never on the table. women lunging at each other's mouths and genitals like sexual zombies, coating each other in a thick layer of translucent slime, preempts any complaint that it's not realistic, and enjoyment, such as it is, is all in how slavering the performances can get. in fact parasited reminds me a lot of the now-classic 2015 girlsway feature the turning, which employed a mere drug, communicated through bodily fluids, rather than an alien parasite to much the same effect; the "lesbian zombie" fantasy is a relatively niche one, but i've always kind of admired its chutzpah in removing sexual orientation (or even, really, agency) from the picture.

an all-girl feature with the budget and high concept of the turning would be unimaginable now, of course, so sites like parasited will have to do.

i should say, i'm including this as a september scene because that's when it popped up on manyvids, which is where i bought it and first became aware of parasited. the scene had debuted on parasited.com a month earlier. i don't have a lot to say about this scene in particular: jia plays her drooly infected role well, and tiffany's struggles before she's infected are good enough to be a little hard to watch. and once the sex gets going, neither of them need the assistance of the paraside slime or white-iris contacts to sell the illusion of their hunger. the gamers premise is nothing much, but the scene is brief enough — not quite thirteen minutes — that it doesn't try my patience.
